Who & What is the
SciEnTeK-12 Foundation

Science Engineering Technology Kindergarten - 12th Grade

The SciEnTeK-12 Foundation was formed in 1998 to provide a source of funding and management for the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (SARSEF).  During its formulation it was agreed that our mission statement should be broad enough to encompass any and all programs associated with science education for Kindergarten through 12th Grade students and schools.  Our Mission Statement reads:

The mission of SciEnTeK-12 Foundation is to excite young people about science and engineering.

To this end, SciEnTeK-12 Foundation has grown from supporting the science fair in several buildings and small rooms and providing a few hundred dollars in awards, to an organization with a current annual budget around $150,000, and with the Fair and Funfest now being housed at the Tucson Convention Center.

Also, we support programs such as the Math Science and Technology FunFest (MSTFF), Science Olympiad, & the Physics Factory.  We are also attempting to become a clearing house of information for student and teacher related activities during the summer months, and for regional, national and international programs and competitions involving math, science, engineering and technology.

We also provide Visits free of charge to discuss careers and the science fair, click here for more information.
