Perks of Volunteering

The Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair and Math Science and Technology FunFest are truly fun and enjoyable events, so just being there, talking to some of these super students, and seeing the fantastic project exhibits or Funfest booths are the basic rewards that keep the SciEnTeK-12 Foundation Board of Directors working all year.

Another benefit is the knowledge that you are doing something important in keeping America strong in Science and Technology.  There is currently talk about the US lagging behind many countries in its pre-college education.  We know that what we are doing is indeed bringing some youth who had never even thought about a career in math, science, medicine, engineering, technology into that mainstream.  We are helping build the high technology workforce of the not too distant future, and you as a volunteer are a crucial and important part of that accomplishment.
