First Time Volunteer

Without volunteers neither the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair nor the Math Science and Technology Funfest would be possible.  These events are fun and it is rewarding to see so many school children become excited about science and technology.  These youngsters are our future workforce, with your help we may be able to keep many of them interested in careers involving math, science, engineering and technology.

We need volunteers to work every day of the week, Monday through Friday and tear down on Saturday morning (Please visit the calendar for specific dates).  Monday is indeed our busiest day and the day we need the most volunteers.  That day the students come to the TCC and setup their projects.  We must register every project, make sure it is setup in the right place, clears the Display and Safety Check clears the final check by the Scientific Review Committee, and finally prepare the exhibit hall for judging which starts around 7am Breakfast and briefing on Tuesday Morning.  And, of course, we have memorabilia to sell, T-Shirts and other items, so some volunteers will be our sales force.

Tuesday we need a few volunteers for sales, to serve as runners for the judges, and to monitor the halls.

Wednesday thru Friday volunteers are needed to staff the sales area, give guidance to visitors, monitor the halls and keep an eye open for students who may get a little too frisky.  The Math Science and Technology FunFest also needs volunteers to assist in some of the booths and to help direct foot traffic at the Funfest event, which is clearly the main attraction on Wednesday thru Friday from 9am to 1pm.
