SARSEF is now completely an online registration program. The process must be completely re-done each year (in other words- no passwords or access information are carried over from the previous year or any previous school Director)Only one access ID is allowed per school so you must decide who is the main person in charge of registration.
All school projects are required to be completed as a single registration using only one access ID and password and one payment.
Should several staff members at a school need to do the data entry, please share and secure the access information. All access ID's need to be renewed each year - nothing carries over from previous years.
Each school is allowed only the predetermined number of projects based on their school type (K-5, K-6, K-8, 6-8, 9-12) and size. * Note: All returning schools were sent a NEW project allocation in August of 2012. If you are a new school or did not receive thisemail, please contact: Kathleen@sarsef.org for your NEW allocation of projects. If more than one individual will be entering
projects, the division of projects between those doing the data entry
needs to be agreed upon prior to submission to SARSEF.
Registration remains at $10 per project and may be paid online or mailed to SARSEF Director,
3247 N. Christmas Ave.,
Tucson, AZ 85716. On line registration must be finalized by February 28, 2013. Payment must be submitted by March 8th,Sorry, NO Purchase Orders.
Students' home address, telephone and e-mail addresses are required. This information is essential for students to be notified in order to attend the awards ceremonies. This is especially key for those schools on spring break during the fair & for those who are selected for participation in further opportunities.Additional questions were added this year in order for us to receive continued and increased funding . Please answer as many as possible for our data base. Please be sure the student names are SPELLED CORRECTLY- this is what goes on Participation Certificates and on a Trophy if they win!
Late fees of $10 per project will be assessed for projects submitted after the SARSEF registration deadline. Please submit your school's projects by the deadline! If your school fair timing will cause a delay, contact SARSEF in advance to request a waiver of late fees.
Data Correction Fees of $10 per project will be assessed for all data changes at the SARSEF. This includes title wording, category, grade, addresses, telephone, email, sex and teacher information. Please make certain all your data are correct upon submitting to SARSEF. Data changes made prior to SARSEF will not incur a fee.
Name Correction Fees of $10 per project will be assessed at the Award Ceremonies for Certificates and Trophy Plates that have to be reprinted due to an error in data entry prior to the fair. I.e., if it is a SARSEF error in printing, there will be no fee, but if it is entered in the registration incorrectly and not corrected before competition, there will be a fee assessed for reprinting of Certificates/Trophies.
Students are NOT to do their own on-line registration. This is to maintain the privacy, accuracy and security of the project and student information entered.
We do not share registration information with anyone without permission. A press release with winning student’s names, schools, and awards and occasionally a photograph, is standard. The approval to release that information is assumed through the school’s release authority. We do not release home phone numbers or email addresses to the press or for use on our web site. If the permission to use the student’s image and name is not checked on the registration form, we will not release that information to the press or use it on our web site.
