And of absolute importance is to determine if you need Scientific Review Committee or Institutional Review Board approval before you start the project.  If your project involves vertebrate animals, Human/Animal Tissue, Potential Pathogens, Human Subjects, Hazardous Substances, Devices or Activities, you MUST get Scientific Review Committee or Institutional Review Board approval BEFORE you start your project.
